The Fair’s program covered all aspects of the activity of rail transport: from passenger transport in remote corners of the country, to the “tightness” of the Russian market and the willingness of domestic railroad workers to begin export expansion.

The exhibition exposition was presented in 4 pavilions and in an open area. Railway equipment was demonstrated on a rail track. The total area of the exhibition was more than 10,000 sq.m.

In the framework of the opening plenary session “Digital Transformation and Future Technologies in the Railway Industry”, Maxim Akimov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, and Andreas Reichard, Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria made a welcoming speech to the participants.

The program of PRO//Motion.Expo included a unique dynamic display. Locomotives of different eras staged a real theater-lined performance twice a day. Ceremonial trips were accompanied by reprises illustrating a particular era in the development of the country and railway transport: industrialization, the Great Patriotic War, the construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway. The dynamic display involved 18 pieces of equipment, and it was opened up by the only one, the steam locomotive of the “Ь” series, that was built in the 19th century and became the first fully-fledged domestic locomotive.
